Notes
- This record covers only the newly announced Digit 5 generation (Sept 2026). Its specs (height/weight/payload/battery) are manufacturer claims for early access targeted H1 2027; no shipped or demonstrated evidence exists yet for this generation.
- The prior generation's named, operating deployments (Ford 2020, GXO 2023-2024) are a different hardware generation and are tracked separately as agility-digit-gen4, so shipped status is never implied for a generation that has not shipped.
- Digit is sold as Robots-as-a-Service, not a one-time purchase, so price_history is intentionally empty — no credible per-unit or subscription price was located from a manufacturer source during this build.
- actuator_torque_nm, battery_wh, battery_swappable, sdk, warranty, and order_type were left out (2026-09-21): the Digit 5 announcement discloses only the 90-min/9-min runtime-and-charge figures and 'proprietary cycloidal actuator technology' without an Nm value, and directs buyers to a sales/quote page ('Deploy Digit') without a literal, quotable ordering-model or warranty statement.
- locomotion left out (2026-09-21): agilityrobotics.com/solutions/digit-5, the Sept 2026 Digit 5 press release, IEEE Spectrum's coverage, and Agility's general Digit page were all checked; each describes leg joints, reach, or general humanoid-robot history in a bipedal category, but none gave a literal sentence stating Digit 5 itself is bipedal/two-legged. Left out rather than reused from the gen4 record's Amazon-newsroom quote, which covers a different hardware generation.
- Battery partner (2026-10-16 scan): Agility's press release of 2026-10-15 names Nyobolt as the ultra-fast charging battery technology provider for Digit 5 and claims it enables more than 20 hours of work in a 24-hour day (quote: "Digit 5 will deliver more than 20 hours of productive work in a 24-hour day"; accessed 2026-10-16; source https://www.agilityrobotics.com/content/agility-robotics-selects-nyobolt-as-its-ultra-fast-charging-battery-technology-partner-for-digit-5). The release also says: "Early access to Digit 5 equipped with Nyobolt's battery technology is expected to begin in the first half of 2027, with increasing availability over the following six to nine months". Manufacturer claim only; consistent with the recorded 90-min runtime / 9-min charge.
