Notes
- Degrees of freedom is reported inconsistently across secondary sources (35, 42+, 55 DoF) and could not be traced to one dated primary-source figure during this build, so the dof spec field is omitted rather than guessed.
- Battery runtime is widely reported as 6-8 hours across secondary/aggregator sites, but the primary product page and reservation page fetched during this build did not state a runtime figure, so battery_runtime_min is omitted.
- The manufacturer's official datasheet PDF (linked from the CES 2026 page) was not accessible as text during this build and should be added as a follow-up source for dof/battery.
- locomotion left out (2026-09-21): searched the manufacturer's own product/press page and its main launch coverage (The Robot Report / IEEE Spectrum / named outlet where applicable) for a literal quote naming the propulsion ("bipedal", "legs", "walks", "wheeled base", etc.); none of the pages fetched in this pass contained a checkable sentence naming it specifically for 4NE-1 -- most pages describe height/DOF/speed without ever stating the locomotion type in words. Left out rather than inferred from photos or category. Revisit with a source that states it directly.
- Gen 4 (2026-10-23): neura-robotics.com/products/4ne1/ now presents 4NE1 Gen 4, 'a slimmer body ... 20% lighter than the generation before', 'already running in the [NEURA Gym] and being prepared for series production'. The same page lists payload '10-20' kg, while the payload_kg spec above (100 kg, quote '10-100', accessed 2026-09-20) came from the earlier version of that page; both figures are manufacturer claims for different page versions/generations and the spec is kept unchanged until the generation is clear. Height 180 cm, weight 80 kg and speed 5 km/h are unchanged on the new page. No dated Gen 4 launch or delivery event was recorded because the page gives no date.
- Gen 4 date (2026-10-24): diariobitcoin (citing EU-Startups) dates the Gen 4 presentation to the TUM RoboGym opening on 2026-10-22; the earlier note's dateless manufacturer page is consistent with it. Specs on the manufacturer page remain unchanged.
The 64 kg is heise's own arithmetic from the 20% figure; the manufacturer page (specs.weight_kg) still states 80 kg. Both kept; weight_kg unchanged until Neura states a Gen 4 weight directly.
